Facilities Electrical Engineer - Skagit County

Description:
Keltia is a technical support services company providing Specialized Technical Recruiting services along with CAD design and CAD Training services mainly to the aerospace industry around the US, Canada and Europe. We are based in the Seattle area and have been in business for over 18 years in the US and 6 years in Europe.

Installs and maintains up to 480V/3ph and up to 240V/1ph AC systems and all associated electrical systems.
• Installs, troubleshoots and maintains motor controls, SCR drives, variable frequency drives, PLC systems and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine controls used throughout the plant.
• Designs and plans electrical installations.
• Designs electrical modifications to existing equipment.
• Estimates cost of new electrical installations and reviews design prior to installation.
• Orders all electrical parts and materials.
• Ensures electrical permitting is in place for all work. Works with Department of Labor and Industries to keep plant within permit parameters and NEC compliance. Obtains L&I approval for all work performed.
• Works in team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company.
• Utilizes JSAs, lock out/tag out, and other safety tools including personal protective equipment to perform job assignments in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assists maintenance technician as required.
• Serves 'on call' on a rotational basis for off-shift and weekend operations support.
• Supports plant safety and quality objectives.
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); (Degree from Technical College a plus).
• General Journeyman/01 or Maintenance Journeyman/07and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in two (2) or more of the following skill areas: Industrial Controls, electrician, industrial electrician, and/or pneumatic and hydraulic systems electrician.
• Experience in repair and troubleshooting of industrial equipment is required.
• Knowledge in CNC Machine installation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration desired. Training in electronic component troubleshooting and repair a plus.
• Must be familiar with programmable equipment to support engineering and troubleshoot programming problems. Must be able to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to or ability to learn to operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and pallet jacks.
• Available for off-shift hours.
