Pnematics Components Bench Technician

Description:
Temp-to-perm after 3 months

An Aircraft Maintenance Company since1945 with a concentration in repair, overhaul and support. For over 75yrs the Company's services include: component repair and overhaul, ground support test equipment, and airline service programs.

Company's  business concentration includes support programs for regional and longer haul airlines, comprising narrow and wide body fleets, and also manufactures and distributes a full line of ground support test equipment.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs testing, fault isolation, inspection, quoting, repair, preventative maintenance, and rework on various types of Aircraft Pneumatic Component Accessories to include but not limited to: Press. Reg. Shut Off Valves, Pressure switches, Flow Control Valves, Cabin Press. Safety Valves, Surge Control Valves, Fan Air Modulating Valves, Start Valves, Low limit Valves, Press. Controllers, Anti-Ice Valves, Pneumatic Starters and Electro-pneumatic components, while keeping in line with the respective CMM, SPM, SB/AD, EO, Airline Technical. Document, or other OEM Tech. Data.
Receives and performs training given from any experienced shop team member or the lead technician., Works with friendly and positive attitude; always ready to learn new tasks, and participate willingly with teammates
Needs to be familiar with a variety of the workshop concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on training, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish set goals for maximum productivity. Performs a variety of complicated tasks, while keeping the highest quality standard. Usually reports to the lead technician, supervisor, or manager.


Required - Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:

Possess a High School Diploma or GED 
Is able to read, write, speak and understand English
1 - 2 years min. of Aircraft Pneumatics Components Maintenance experience or equivalent
Understanding of and abilities in calibrating/ troubleshooting pneumatic components
Capable and comfortable at assimilating new or different pneumatic (and other accessories) capabilities
Capable and comfortable using OEM Schematics, Technical Instructions/Diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and other documents such as Reliability Work Scopes, Best Practices, and Customer EO’S
Willingness to assist engineering development within related technologies, as required
Possess knowledge of AC / DC
Capable and willing to work in a fast pace environment, while multi-tasking
Comfortable receiving training, able to demonstrate good communication skills
Dexterity and knowledge with hand tools, special tools and precision calibration equipment. (even other mechanical fields equivalency)
Must be adaptive and willing to engage new concepts, processes and technical capabilities. Also, able to efficiently work with a technical operating system (ERP).
Must possess the ability to work with little or no supervision.


Preferred - Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:

A&P or Airframe & PowerPlant License - preferable but not mandatory
Repairman’s Certificate or FAA Aircraft Repairman Certificate - preferable but not mandatory
FCC License. - preferable but not mandatory
Military training A+ Plus
