Electronics Supplier Quality Engineer (310)

Description:
We are seeking a travelling Defense Subcontractor Supplier Quality Engineer who will monitor our manufacturing suppliers to ensure their manufactured parts and assemblies are compliant to company standards. As part of the position it will be expected the candidate travel 50% of the time to local as well as overnight travel. On a regular basis, candidate will determine if products conform to drawings, specifications, established requirements and take corrective actions based on root cause analysis.

Contractor will be expected to make periodic reports, analyze, plan and take corrective action on issues that arise. Candidate will be constantly communicating and monitoring issues with supplier including metrics/scorecards such as Key performance indicators (KPIs) and SCAR which ensure suppliers are meeting company goals.
Required:
*5+ years’ experience in performing Defense Subcontractor Supplier Quality functions including KPIs and SCAR within a manufacturing setting
*Understanding of a AS9100 and AS9102 quality standards; from raw materials to finished product
*Strong background in monitoring and communicating regularly with suppliers and experience with ERP Quality Management software
*Able to travel 50% of the time, mixed between local and overnight.
*4 Year degree in Engineering or similar technical area.

Pluses:
*Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt

*Experience with Cable/Harness inspection and testing; PWB inspection and testing
*Knowledge of PWB/CCA inspection/test, equipment/instrumentation (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610) certification
*Understanding of cable/wire harness inspecting and testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
