NDT Technician

Description:
An NDT technician role located in Yakima, WA is currently available through Belcan. The NDT Technician will Responsible for the creation and maintenance of NDT procedures and NDT techniques. Performs Nondestructive Testing to meet Customer and internal processing requirements. Assures
product quality by utilizing a specialized combination of skill, knowledge, interpretation, attention to
detail, communication, and technical/mathematical ability.

NDT Technician job duties:

* Act on its behalf in matters regarding the NDT qualification and certification process.
* Knowledge of the materials, components, product technologies, NDT methods and NDT techniques used by the employer.
* Implementation of the company's written program and the overall administration of the qualification and certification program.
* Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
* Be capable of providing or directing training, examination, and certification of personnel.
* Conduct NDT for acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency
in this ability was included in the practical examination.
* Be capable of auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of the written practice are
met.
* Promotes and executes quality assurance philosophy throughout the organization.
* Perform all phases of Magnetic particle and Liquid Penetrant inspections.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Five (5) years in a Nondestructive testing environment, with a minimum of a Level 2 NDT
background.
* High School Diploma or GED.
* NDT Certifications is a plus.
* Quality Assurance experience preferred.
* The Responsible Level 3 shall be certified in accordance with the Company's written program and
NAS 410 as a Level 3 in one or more NDT methods and shall have a thorough knowledge of the
written instructions, codes, specifications and standards used by the employer.
* Have the experience, knowledge and the skills to manage the company's Nadcap accreditation
program.
* Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes standards, and other contractual documents
that control the NDT method(s).
* Be capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection.
* Be capable of preparing and verify the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
* Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods and product manufacturing and inspection
* Be familiar and capable to perform internal and external NDT audits technologies used by the employer.
* Working knowledge of AS9100.
* Quality experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
* Must be a US Citizen.
