Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Duration: 1 year

Description:
Develops, designs, plans, lays out, and produces a variety of technical and promotional illustrations for publications such as brochures, posters, manuals, handbooks, and advertising matter. Selects techniques best suited to produce desired visual effects in conformance with established quality standards and specified reproduction medium. Makes orthographic, isometric, and perspective drawings; uses engineering drawings, photographs, models, or rough sketches; coordinates with users to determine illustration objectives and translates into graphic terms; illustrates tools, products, machines, buildings, and figures using two- and three-dimensional materials, and applying color, shading, and other art techniques to portray intended meaning. Candidate will be a member of a team of Technical Writers that provide a wide array of technical documentation written to Military Specifications. Graphics Developers require a working knowledge of 3D models and experienced with creating 2D vector graphics from 3D models. Experience creating 2D graphics without the aid of 3D models and work with Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) graphics is also required. Must be flexible with outstanding work ethic and possess the ability to respond quickly to company and client needs.

Mandatory:
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills,
Abilities to read and interpret Engineering drawings, schematics
Strong teaming skills.
Be flexible with an outstanding work ethic and possess the ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer requirements.
Must have 2-3 years of professional experience
Must have experience/working knowledge of the following:
- Pro E Creo
- IsoDraw
- Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Proficient with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Sharepoint).
- Ability to produce illustrations in support of technical content for maintenance technical manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to acquire and verify illustration content by interviewing workers engaged in developing products, observing production methods, referring to engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications.
- Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
Ability to produce illustrations using graphics tools such as ISOdraw, Autrotrol or similar graphics tools
Ability to acquire and verify content and illustrations by coordinating across Engineering Disciplines, observing production methods, referring to engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications.
Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions.

Desired:
Experience with Electronics, Hydraulics and Mechanical Systems
Past experience working with US Army or other Military publications
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
