Job Description

About the Role:

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be onsite at our customer location in Camarillo, CA providing the technical support for the investigation, development, implementation, and maintenance of basic quality systems, procedures, methods, action plans, quality costs, and quality performance reporting by reviewing customer requirements and developing quality plans to ensure the requirements are met. You will resolve quality problems and implement corrective action.
As Supplier Quality Engineer, You Will:
• Resolve quality problems and implement corrective action by gathering and analyzing quality data, determining root-causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor corrective action implementation for effectiveness.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances.
• Report to our Team Lead at customer site.
• Flex into other responsibilities as directed.

You'll Need:

• Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in Aerospace, Automotive or similar industry.
• 5+ years of Quality and/or Manufacturing experience.
• Extensive inspection background.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102.
• Exposure to process control tools (SPC, Process Capability, MSA).
• Experience in root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential.
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, Project and PowerPoint.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Work with suppliers at all levels.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP is desirable.
• Due to the nature of work conducted within the Aerospace and Defense industry, US Person required.
