Mechanical Engineer- ERP Implementation

Description:
A Mechanical Engineer 2 (ERP) job in San Diego, CA is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for working with members of Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Quality to guide the company through successful integration of a new ERP system. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, plus 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Mechanical Engineer 2 (ERP) Job duties:

* Understand how engineering processes function within the quality management system (QMS).
* Identify efficiencies in engineering practices.
* Modify engineering work instructions to function within the ERP.
* Replace manual engineering functions with improved automated systems.
* Interface with supply chain and manufacturing to develop gates to trigger engineering outputs ahead of work-ready dates.

Qualifications:

* Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
* Ability to generate professional engineering documentation and reports.
* Understanding of MBOMs, manufacturing workflow and configuration management.
* Prior experience in aerospace engineering and manufacturing, or ERP implementation.
