Description:
We have a Direct Hire opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Rochester, NY, area.

The Salary Range is: $150,000 - $170,000

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with clients to provide HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, including technical support as needed for projects. They will act as the project manager on select assignments and be responsible for team coordination, client communication, and the financial performance of the project. The ideal candidate will progress into a management role for the regional mechanical department.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for multi-discipline design projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
Interact with clients providing technical expertise regarding design and cost.
Direct project team to meet goals while maintaining quality work
Manage project schedule and performance
Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies,
Complete code compliance research
Proposal writing for business development
Mentor and train engineers and designers

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Minimum eight years of experience with a professional consulting firm preferred
New York Professional Engineers License required

Desired Qualifications:
Strong Communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated and thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Strong analytical and technical capabilities
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
