Sr. Cost Analyst

Description:
Needed in St. Louis area - 1 w Secret Clearance/1 without.

The Senior Commercial Cost Analyst, develops cost and pricing analysis based on internal and external data to support . The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate complex cost data into actionable reporting tools for internal use. The Commercial Cost Analyst will play a key role in advancing and refining commercial strategy.
In this role you will conduct in-depth reviews of large, complex business cases, and make recommendations to senior business leadership using your findings. Additionally, the Senior Commercial Cost Analyst will review customer Requests for Proposal / Request for Quotations (RFP/RFQs) and responses to make recommendations on specific cases as well as make process improvements to the flow of work leading up to responses.

Develop business cases and cost scenarios to support commercial process, including revenue, cost, cash and profit impact and variances to budget
Prepare business cases evaluating investment, profitability, and returns of new proposals; present and defend business cases to senior management.
Design and make recommendations on implementation of business unit level commercial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and results
Collect, analyze, and report findings on various data elements of various contracts, such as: part quantity, cost incurred to date, revenue recognized to date, budget per part & variances, cost per part (standard or actual cost)
Cost and Pricing data analysis
Develop and provide regular monthly report
Create database of contracts and pricing information including costing data, governance review status, business case outcomes, and negotiation status
Design and implement processes to collect and analyze cost and contract data and prepare for business reviews and negotiations
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations specific to the Aerospace market and Commercial terms and conditions

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required, MBA in business or related discipline preferred.
7+ years experience in costing, pricing, contracts, etc.
US Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance.

Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and process adherence skills
Thorough understanding of government contracting cycle & TINA requirements
Appreciation of Engineering and Manufacturing issues
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations specific to the Aerospace market and Commercial terms and conditions
