Assistant Director of Legal - New Aircraft Sales - China

Our Client based in China is looking to appoint an Assistant Director of Legal matters, relating to the sales of new aircraft into China and Africa. The successful candidate will carry out comprehensive aircraft sales related legal affairs, contracts management, compliance and risk management, intellectual property rights related work, ensuring its effective performance.


A Bachelors degree or above in legal/ law background.

Candidate will have a rich experience in the international trade, leasing and financing transactions of commercial aircraft, proficient in aviation trading practices, related laws and various trading structures. Familiar with foreign investment M & A, aviation accident investigation and product liability.

Has long-term cooperation or trading experience with international mainstream manufacturers, airlines. Working with domestic and foreign renowned aviation manufacturing enterprises, leasing companies or an airline aircraft engaged in sale and lease related legal affairs for more than 10 years; or be partner in renowned domestic and abroad law firm on aircraft leasing and sales for over 10 years, and qualified by Chambers, commercial law, ALB and other authoritative media, legal institutions within last 5 years.


Has relevant experience in WTO international trade dispute settlement. Experience as an arbitrator in renowned arbitration institution both domestic and abroad. Has a lawyer's license in other jurisdictions outside of China. Has experience in handling aviation accidents and product liability cases.

Professional Knowledge:

Familiar with professional knowledge of corporate legal affairs management, contract management, enterprise risk management, intellectual property management and related laws and regulations. Modern enterprise management knowledge. Familiar with the civil aircraft industry.

Has strong strategic thinking ability, and can always focus on the project needs, from the global and long-term point of view, to scientifically plan the objectives of the project legal work.

Has strong overall leadership ability, be able to serve cooperative decision making, lead the team of legal advisors, create a complete project legal work system, and earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the project.

A solid legal professional ability, proficient in legal business, with complex or difficult legal work experience and ability, familiar with cooperation and project management, and have high policy level and strong organization and coordination ability.

Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading and writing. At the same time, it is preferable to use French or Chinese as a working language.
