STS AeroStaff Services is hiring Production Engineers in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

Provide technical support for the Production Engineering Department. The Engineer must be able to develop documentation and procedures to ensure compliance specific to various company policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Audits and recommends improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Production Engineering Department’s procedures and processes
• Manages and supports the implementation of enhancements to procedures, processes and operating tools
• Serves as a Liaison with various external departments for progress and maintenance of processes while ensuring they align with ail other relevant procedures and communicate awareness of changes
• Interfaces with multiple functional groups including: Systems Architects, Supply Chain, Quality and Production Operations to develop strategies for implementation of engineering, system, and process improvements
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and standardization; documents and prepares initiatives for process and/or engineering change to reduce cost and increase quality
• Participates in activities to enhance and support Production teamwork, and provide an environment for ail team members to participate in Cl (Continuous Improvement)
• Provides technical support and assistance with the development and improvement of methods, quality product design, cost, and technical issues of a complex manner as required
• Analyzes a variety of engineering data to help determine requirements to meet objectives
• Plans and documents various installation processes, tooling, equipment and quality control methods to optimize the manufacturing operation
• Provides data comparisons between the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to the “As Built”

Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree in Manufacturing Engineer or other related field strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ and a maximum of 20 years’ of Manufacturing experience
• Six Sigma Training or Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
• Configuration Management certification preferred
• Innovative, visionary, and servant leader mentality
• Proactive and a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Basic Project Management skills
• Solid problem solving and analytical skills, able to identify and analyze organizational needs
• Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience utilizing tools such as SAP, TeamCenter, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio (or equivalent) PowerPoint and Project)
• Experience as an advanced Excel user - visual basic/macro-writing skills a plus
• Ability to work in a diverse environment
• Working knowledge of aircraft assembly, sequencing, and manufacturing flow
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and/or specifications requirements
