Electrical Design Engineer

Description:
Job Responsibilities:

·       Must have an in-depth understanding of electrical systems, will serve as a troubleshooter and will be a key problem solver on projects and will have the ability to design at all levels.

·       Involved in the specification, selection, and evaluation of electronic components.

·       Cable and harnessing design

·       Power distribution assemblies (Knowledge of motors a plus)

·       Must be able to test and debug complex electronic designs to a component level.

·       Must be able and willing to perform hands-on fabrication, testing, and repair work that is required to support assigned activities as needed when support from technicians may not be readily available.

·       Candidate must have experience and be proficient at using laboratory test equipment used in electrical engineering work. (Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzers, Function generators)

·       Must be able to perform embedded “C” code/programming language.

·       Capable of applying electrical design techniques and possess knowledge of PCB design methods and practical implementation of circuits.

·       Schematic capture tool experience (CadStar Schematic Capture a plus)

Position Requirements:

·       BSEE with 6 plus years of experience

·       Experience working in new product development or prototyping environment (medical device experience preferred)

·       Knowledge of electrical compliance standards (Med. Device Compliant experience a plus)
