Engineering Technician 4 Computer Aided Metrology

Work Schedule: 4/10 - (2nd shift)

Engineering Technician 4 Computer Aided Metrology.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals that are willing to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment covering multiple programs. Candidate will be required to use highly sophisticated computer aided metrology equipment that will require knowledge of multiple software applications. Candidate will have responsibility for overseeing lesser skilled employees assisting them with their training and development in the computer aided metrology field.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience.

Position requires Assembly Tooling and or composite tooling background with assorted Computer-Aided Measurement Systems (C.A.M.S.) and an emphasis on (FARO-LEICA-API) Laser Tracking Interferometer or non-Interferometer Systems (minimum 10 years). Experience in data collection for the Validation/Verification of Tooling and Engineering. This position requires experience working with Manufacturing Engineering developing solutions to highly complex mechanical problems. Also working with Engineering for dispositions and best methodology to make repairs. Analyze and advise on data results. Must be proficient in Microsoft suite. Ability to work on high ladders and portable platforms, heavy lifting as well as standing for long periods of time. Candidate may be required to work any shift as well as overtime as necessary. High school diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of Photogrammetric laser radar systems and laser scanning systems and articulating arms. Theodolite systems are also required. Computer aided graphic interfaces such as Verisurf X, SA and Maya matrix Build!IT and Polyworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiar with multiple computer aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, scanners, projection lasers etc. Experience and background in design of tools and assemblies is also very much desired. Experience in 3D modeling systems such as Catia UG is a plus. Preferred experience and the ability to analyze collected data to computer models using CATIA V5 R22 or later. Assist in the assignment of personnel to support all Aerospace Systems computer aided measurement tasks. Advise and Train personnel in the usage of C.A.M.S. with O.J.T in addition to classroom time and assist in the certification testing. Implement Lean Thinking in the operations and documentation of C.A.M.S. Experience in reverse engineering and model building from collected data.
