Technical Publications/Content Distribution
Salem, OR
9+ month contract

The ideal candidate will support and perform planning, design, development, illustration, publication, and distribution of basic technical publications including technical procedures and manuals (including revisioning services). Supports balloting process including rework cycles and coordinating with writing team members through final publication of documents onto the web.This position is urgent as we have a large backlog of documents that need to be generated for product launch.

Essential Functions
• Create/revise clear, written communications that instruct external and internal audience on how to use electronic and mechanical devices, software and websites developed by Supra and Onity.
• Interview engineers and product managers to collect information needed to create and update user-friendly documentation sets and training materials.
• Adapt manuals and product documentation as needed by regulatory agencies from various countries.
• Write, edit and manage technical documentation in support of business processes.
• Communicate timelines and progress with both internal and external stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned by your Manager
Qualifications/Requirements
• BA/BS and/or 2 years equivalent work experience writing technical documents and building technical construction files.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign (CS6)
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, authoring help files (MadCap Flare a plus), and HTML preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and meet internal deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, ranging from technical reports to executive summaries
