Avionics Systems Engineer

Description:
Work as a member of a team of systems engineers performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software for Mission Systems products consisting of military and civil flight data recorder products and/or military stores management systems products while positively affecting short-term and long-term business goals and objectives.

Job Duties:
• Experience in the following systems engineering lifecycle phases: concept development, requirements management, system architecture, system design and development, systems integration, systems verification & validation
• Experience working on projects with a requirement for RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-178B/C or equivalent
• Familiarity with Military interface and environmental standards such as MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810
• Experience with engineering tools such as Dimensions, DOORS, or Enterprise Architect
• Familiarity with basic programming and scripting languages such as Visual Basic, Python, or C
• Familiarity with Problem Reporting and Change Control processes
• Existing Systems expertise within the Aviation Industry
• Provide required customer interaction to specify top-level requirements for systems that meet the customer goals and further refine these top-level requirements into specifications, architectures, configuration baselines, and lower-level requirements suitable for implementation
• Responsible for project planning activities, including work tasks, project scope, schedule and budget
