Electrical Engineer - Level 3

Description:
Location: Centennial, CO
Rate: DOE
Duration: 1 year contract
Overtime: Exempt

Job Description:
- Main task will be to provide technical system and design support to existing electrical ground command and control systems.
- Develop design solutions typically involve Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware implementation for command, control, communications and instrumentation systems, as well as stand-alone Test Equipment systems.
- Duties include analysis, implementation and hands-on test of hardware in the Denver laboratories and sites located in Florida, Alabama and California.
- Tasks can vary from equipment rack level design to development of future hardware and system upgrades at chassis or board level.
- Many of our tasks involve instrumentation activities including interfacing to various types of transducers and design of complex, high-channel count Data Acquisition Systems (DAS).
- Our primary product consists of complex engineering drawings, parts lists, test procedures, etc that result in hardware build, test and installation.
- Additional activities routinely include anomaly resolution, data analysis, improvement/upgrade projects and future hardware trade studies. We interface our Ground Equipment to the Launch Vehicle Avionics and to Mechanical Ground and Fluid Control hardware used to prepare, test and launch rockets.

Job Requirements:
- Support ELC program with engineering design capability.
- Ground system design and troubleshooting experience.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience.
