Duties: ** Candidates must be U.S. Citizens **
** Permanent residents are NOT eligible for this role **
** Dual citizens are NOT eligible for this role. Also, candidates with a current non-U.S. passport in addition to a U.S. passport are NOT acceptable **
-Must have recent experience using ANSYS (or Workbench) on Structural Analysis specifically (not fluid analysis). Knowledge of other finite element software such as ABAQUS is beneficial.
-Aerospace or Defense related experience preferred over airframe or aviation experience.
-Experience analyzing composites including classical lamination theory and within ANSYS environment. Experience with filament wound composites is a plus.
-Experience with solid propellants or other viscoelastic materials.
-Recent college grads are okay with at least some ANSYS experience.

-Master's degree strongly preferred.
The selected candidate will:
•Assist other analysts and designers engaged with development and production of new and existing solid rocket motors, propulsion system components and secondary structure.
•Perform structural analyses utilizing class hand-calculation methods and finite element models.
•Construct and solve static and dynamic finite element models with ANSYS •Participate in test planning and execution.
•Correlate structural models to test results.
