Material Planner/Expediter

Material Planner/Expediter
(US Citizenship Required*)
Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities:
• Create production and material plans to include inventory goals and schedules
• Oversee master schedule and ensure compliance with material requirements for manufacturing
• Manage procurement planning for medium size program and ensure materials are available according to schedules
• May assist in the preparation of material proposals
• Maintain forecast in the production and material planning tool, and update as required
• Develop understanding of relationships between various support functions and disciplines
• Represent manufacturing planning in the Engineering Change Board (CCB)
• May develop material cost strategies and coordinate target pricing with supply chain
• Negotiate schedules with program based on material availability
• Assist with material system testing for enhancements and/or modifications when requested
• Mentor other junior employees

Qualifications:
• Intermediate knowledge of MRP/ERP principles
• Able to solve problems using analytical skills
• Intermediate knowledge of concurrent engineering principles
• Able to understand engineering changes and their effect on the bill of material
• Intermediate knowledge of government compliance regulations
• Able to understand, research and reconcile financial errors as job requires

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
