Quality Engineer 2

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 3 months

Description:
Researches contractual and client Quality Management System requirements for applicability to program processes and documentation. Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and shop floor technicians while providing ship side support for aircraft planning. Performs root cause corrective actions, manufacturing planning reviews and Quality verification/validations. Analyzes data to look for process improvements opportunities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Reviews engineering requirements, confirms they are incorporated fully in build plan, and confirms that shop operations/quality inspection fully understand and comply with the requirements. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general supervision.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification.
