Role: Systems Engineer II (Architecture)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.

Job Summary
• System Engineer that has a passion for network Architecture infusion Aerospace Software and Hardware.
• Performs systems engineering tasks as part of design and development process for secure communication system product lines. Abilities must include an in-depth understanding and experience with software, mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills in performing the analysis, specifications, requirements, traceability, compliance to standards, implementation, testing verification & validation, and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities
• Participates on product teams to provide systems engineering expertise in design, development, programming, testing, and implementation for secure communication systems product lines.
• This includes, but not limited to, analysis, specifications, requirements, traceability, compliance to standards, implementation, testing verification & validation, documentation, test fixtures, and test procedures.
• Must have a working knowledge of real time embedded software and related features, as well as the ability to provide design guidance to the Engineering staff performing design and development tasks.
• Ability to documents new features in specifications and requirements documentation to an engineering level.
• Ability and experience with requirements traceability, from a system specification level, to software requirements, to software code, to software test cases, to system functional test cases.
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Program Management, and the other engineering functions to define, scope, estimate and schedule.
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Experience with Ethernet and IP networking technologies, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), control mechanisms like SNMP, and Quality of Service (QoS).
• Experience with aerospace and defense standards such as SAE/AS9100, RTCA/DO-178, RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-160, as well as military standards.
• Experience with U.S. FAA flight standards related to RTCA/DO-178 and RTCA/DO-254, such as ARP4754 (Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems) and ARP4761 (Safety Assessment Process).
• Good writing and communication skills as demonstrated by employment interview and success in prior positions.
• Must have demonstrated hands-on work approach and examples of hands-on involvement in prior work positions.
• Demonstrated successful task management skills utilized in prior positions.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to be creative, persistent and stay with a problem until it is resolved.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in an engineering capacity with knowledge of communication systems, systems.
• U.S. Export Policy Notice::To comply with U.S. export laws and regulations.
