Engineering Technician (2) - OH

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Technician (2) for an opening in Mason, OH.

Client is seeking a passionate, highly motivated Engineering Technician for the Test Engineering Group. The selected Individual will assemble, document and verify Test cables, Circuit Card Assemblies, Test boxes and Test Stations as required. This individual will also troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on deployed test equipment throughout the building.

o Complete Assigned Tasks within Allotted schedules and budgets.
o Possess strong computer skills, i.e. setting raid drives, cloning, software installation, PCI card installations, and other operational and repair tasks.
o Intermediate skills with Microsoft office skills, i.e. Excel, Access, etc.
o Ability to use internet to research new parts, find datasheets, verify part number and part descriptions, new tool requirements, finding replacements for obsolete parts, etc.
o Provide weekly Status on all assigned Tasks.
o Provide Timely inputs for new project estimations. (As requested)
o Review and Redline Drawings as requested.
o Write and Submit ECN's as required.
o Support all areas of Test Engineering as required. (Assembly, Support, Design and Special Projects)
o Assemble, Document and Verify Test Equipment, Test Cables and Circuit Card Assemblies.
o Alpha and Beta Test Software as required.
o Read and Interpret Schematics, Drawings, Technical data sheets and Test plans.
o Troubleshoot complex Electronic Circuits using test equipment such as Power Supplies, multi-meters, scopes, signal generators, data loggers…..etc.
o Build Proto-type/breadboard Electronic circuit boards.
o Generate reports, spreadsheets, parts Lists, schematics and block diagrams.
o Using hand and Power tools for Drilling, cutting, filing and Assembly

o 5 years of experience directly related in: Electronics Assembly and Repair
o Prior Experience in engineering and manufacturing environment.
o Experience in Aerospace Industry is Plus, but not required.
o Experience with Labview or National Instruments Test Stand is a Strong Plus.
o Experience with Schematic entry, PCB design and modeling software is a strong plus. (OrdCAD, DxDesigner, PADs, PCB-123, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc)
o Experience with metal fabrication is a plus
o Experience with J-standard (with Space addendum) solder certification and ability to pass peer evaluations
o Metal fabrication experience is desirable
o Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
o Work Environment And Physical Demands
o Lab Environment. (Work Station will be provided in Test Engineering Lab)
o Physical Demands: standing, sitting, crouching/kneeling, soldering, working with Micro-scopes, Working with hand/Power tools, etc.

o Associate's Degree from an accredited two year technical school or Military School equivalent is required
