Engineering Aide

Description:
Our client is seeking someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to read and comprehend blue prints. Are you an Engineering Aide with AutoCad experience? We have a long term opportunity with a well-known company in the aviation industry!

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:
* Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
* Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
* Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
* Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
* Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
* May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
* Manufacture Engineering support operations in the ABU manufacturing assembly area.
* Will be required to translate design requirements, prints, and technical drawings into comprehensive work instructions for the assembly personnel
* Provide daily hands on support to assembly personnel in the assembly of complex Circuit card assemblies, sub- assemblies and box level final assemblies.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
* Blue print reading capability.
* Ability to translate print requirements into logical work instructions, utilizing high definition pictures, illustrations and text to define sequence methods and use of required assembly tools to complete assemblies.
* Ability to provide quick turnarounds on technical assistance requests to the manufacturing floor.
* Work with engineering on specialized tests, trials and Engineering change requests.
* Ability to detect drawing / design errors prior to production implementation.
* Ability to assist in First piece evaluations to ensure design / manufacturabiity and compliance to requirements of design.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous circuit card assembly experience desired.
* CAD / Autocad experience a plus.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and characteristics:
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work with people.
* Ability to read and analyze complex technical drawings and print illustrations a must.
