Software Engineer 2

Our client, a global security and aerospace company, is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. Solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions to help customers keep people safe and provide them essential services, our client is hiring for the following critical need:

Software Engineer 2
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Salt Lake City, UT or Colorado Springs, CO

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
• Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, info processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
• Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensure software standards are met.

• Required – Active Secret Clearance. Candidates without active clearance will not be considered.
• Required – Minimum of 2 years of Green Hills Integrity 178B Real Time Operating System development experience
• Preferred – Familiar with Rapid Prototyping
• Preferred – Salt Lake City location; Colorado Springs, CO is also acceptable
• Proficient with C++, C, and embedded real-time software development
• Knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards, unit testing and configuration management, database and system administration
• Work in a team environment using software methodologies and processes.
• Strong communication skills
• Results-oriented team player who thinks creatively and solves problems

*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience
