Systems Engineer - Military Communications (Secret Clearance)

  • The Mission Systems Organization provides integrated communications systems for E6-B, E-4, B2 missions. The system is subject to continuous change as networking and communication technologies evolve.


Job Summary

  • We are currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Richardson, Texas.

  • Typical responsibilities may include leading the technical design and development of other systems engineers, working with the Engineering Project Manager to create and maintain estimates of schedule and budget, and participating as a member of bid team to provide input on effort estimates for proposals of small to medium complexity. 


This Senior System Engineer will support these system updates, enhancements, and expansions by:

  • Capture, analyze, decompose, model and create requirements for systems, product or sub-systems of moderate complexity.

  • Conduct verification/validation testing for products and subsystems of moderate complexity and contribute to system integration.

  • Contribute to the development of functional, interface and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation. Contribute to architecturally significant requirements and technical risk area identification.

  • Create and run verification and validation tests for products and sub- systems of moderate to high complexity.

  • Perform trade studies and make value engineering decisions. Defining system architecture and interfaces between internal and external systems. 


Required Experience:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of system engineering experience performing system engineering in the following areas:

  • Architectural changes and customer-driven enhancements to complex systems.

  • Complex systems typically involved airborne, ground and other systems. 

  • Analyzing performance of complex systems. 

  • Eliciting and managing customer requirements.

  • Experience working in a highly integrated team environment with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers

  • Experience in requirements management tool(DOORS, etc) and SYSML language(EA, NoMagic, etc)


Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

  • Experience with all phases of the system development life cycle

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline


Desired Experience:

  • MS in System Engineer





The mentioned pay rate range for this opportunity is the 'target' range set by our client. Although USPRO presents candidates to our clients regardless of what their compensation demands are, the higher your rate is above this range, the lower the chance is for consideration
