Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Senior Manufacturing Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)
Scottsdale, AZ

• Develop manufacturing engineering plans and strategies for specific products and processes
• Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Support the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Plan sub tasks for activities described above
• Contact with multiple work groups, including project leaders and other professionals within the Manufacturing department
• Install manufacturing process systems and conducts production qualification, forecasts and manages manufacturing process capital assets
• Develop, design, procure, and construct manufacturing process hardware, fixturing tools, software, and work environment
• Using lean concepts, act as a project engineer to implement cost reduction efforts
• Lead quality initiatives using six sigma methodology to determine extent of non-conformance root cause, and corrective action
• Document procedures, process qualifications, work instructions, shop aids, routings, etc.
• Provide process analysis to support new business (NPI) opportunity assessment and quoting
• Define and document equipment calibration requirements
• Develop floor layouts

• Solid professional expertise; apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
• Can handle problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Exercises solid judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Builds productive internal/external working relationships
• Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
• Solid knowledge of technical standards, manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories, as well as of lean techniques and statistical analysis

*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
