Description:
Seeking a senior test engineer for a large, multi-disciplinary software development organization supporting the client. The successful applicant will become part of our team in Atlanta, Georgia that develops applications for administrative systems and health care information which is shared throughout the various federal, state and local offices.

The test engineer will work in an environment that supports both Agile and Waterfall methodologies by conducting functional, integration, and system level testing activities. These activities consist of the following:

* Developing Complex Test Case Requirements
* Developing Test Plans
* Developing Complex Test Scenarios and Test Scripts
* Verification of application requirements by conducting manual and automated system testing
* Preparation of Test Reports

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Performs, at the highest levels of technical complexity, a variety of tasks related to specialized inspection and testing of project software output to ensure that quality standards are met.
* Reviews project requirements and development documentation to ensure specifications are designed to meet inspection and testing standards.
* Creation of VB Scripts including e-statement, simple select statement and loop select statement scripts by hand
* Analyzes and plans manual and automated testing efforts for software systems.
* Technically directs major testing phases of significant projects.
* Reviews completion and implementation of testing tasks.
* Develops and reviews test case matrixes.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or computer science.
* Five or more years experience in software testing.
* Extensive experience in writing test plans and test cases by hand using VB Script.
* Significant experience in writing/reviewing Visual Basic code and Visual Basic scripts including e-statement, simple select statement and loop select statement scripts
* Expertise in developing SQL scripts.
* Excellent understanding of the QA process.
* SQL Server experience, prefer SQL 2008

* HP Quicktest Pro - but cannot replace hand written VB Scripting skills
