Quality Inspector-Aerospace Flight Test

Description:
The Quality inspector inspects the Aircraft and signs a release for flight.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Carry out physical inspections on Flight Test Aircraft to identify damage or defects and to assess airworthiness and conformance to standards.
o Sign the release for flight form on aircrafts that pass Quality Inspection.
o Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Observe and certify conformity with system tests.
• Carry out daily audits related to shop floor practices or specific Quality System elements.
• Prepare and audit Aircraft documentation such as Technical logs.
• Administer non-conformance reports and snag reports.
• Conduct Authority audits with QA organization as needed.
• Perform Nondestructive testing (NDT) as needed.
• Complete special projects and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager.

Level Requirements:
Education:
Degree, specification
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• A&P license
Preferred qualifications
• NDT certification

Experience:
• 10 + years of experience in AC release as a Quality Inspector in Experimental Flight Testing or maintenance or pre-flight.
• Experimental experience preferred from other field of experience.
