Title: Engineering Design Checker - Level 2

Description
Examines engineering drawings and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design; completeness, clarity, and dimensional accuracy; correctness of materials and processes; conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, and practicability; and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation. Work with Mechanical Engineering Lead to assist in the mechanical design, engineering documentation, trade studies, and drawing release for the System. Verify tolerance analysis on system components has been performed. Work with designers to ensure the design meets all requirements, including Safety of Flight.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent related education and experience. Experience with all aspects of mechanical design, including layout, documentation and checking per IAW ASME Y14.24 and be familiar with MIL-T-3100 and MIL-STD-100. 5 to 10 years’ experience of creating Pro-E / CATIA drawings and drawing release. Proficiency with said CAD skills is required. Knowledge of LMC drawing release procedures is desired. Previous LMC experience is a plus.
