Structure Design Engineer

Description:
This position will require a successful applicant to develop airframe design solutions under general direction and independently.
They will coordinate efforts across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Quality Assurance, Planning, Tooling, Structural Analysis, Materials & Processes, Flight Sciences, Production Operations, Flight Test, and various other engineering disciplines.
Designs, develops, and tests a variety of aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

Experience and Skills Required:
Airframe structure design experience required.
Experience with CATIA V5 or V6 (3DX).
Experience with Model Based Definition.
Experience with Full-Sized Determinant Assembly.
Experience with primary and secondary structure design in aircraft.
Experience with subsystem installation design.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing.
