CABLING ENGINEER - DIRECT JOB

Description:
JSG is hiring a Cabling Engineer - Direct Hire for our client in Irvine, CA!

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Specify, design, develop, fabricate, and commission custom cabling for electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems encompassing high voltage and high current techniques and integration with control and data acquisition systems.
Provide detailed specifications and support the procurement of commercial off the shelf cabling products.

Produce and examine drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and other documentation at all stages in the project from the concept through to full manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

Support projects with confident knowledge of electrical cabling designed for EMC, safety and reliability.
Manage project documentation in accordance with requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system.
Liaison with engineers and scientists at different levels deploying new electrical/electronic cabling systems.
Interface with engineers and physicists developing experimental and custom systems.

Required Education:

B.S. in Design/Electrical Engineering or equivalent job experience preferred.
Preferred Education: Knowledge of relevant IEEE or IEC standards is preferred
Software Knowledge and Skills:

Practical knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD system.
Hands on experience with CAD systems for creating cable schematics and cabling layout and mounting. Industrial electrical system simulation software is preferred.
Basic knowledge of CAD systems for mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Practical literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
