Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer with Laser Inspection (32)

Description:
*This is a permanent position located in Baltimore*



We are looking for a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer with some background in Quality who will be working on our aerospace systems developing and monitoring procedures, planning, inspecting, surveying, reporting etc. to ensure top quality results.
Candidate will be working in many areas including first and last article inspection, process auditing, requirements & compliance review, process creation and improvement, flow downs, non-conformance issues, drawing review and development, material review board (MRB), working on Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and certifying final inspection and deliverables concluding with a certificate of compliance.
Candidate will be working with these tools on a daily basis: CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Faro Arm, Hardness tester, Optical comparator, Profilometer, Sine plate, calipers and micrometers, and various gauges.
Required:
*5 years’ experience working as a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer, with Quality background in a defense or military manufacturing environment.
*AS9100, Six Sigma and SPC experience
*Knowledge of Faro Arm and laser inspection.
*Military specifications for materials, pumps/compressors, protective finishing, heat treating, and non-destructive testing.
*ASME Y14.5M (dimensioning and tolerancing), ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 (sampling procedures and tables for inspection by attributes), MIL-STD- 100 (engineering drawing practices), ANSI/NCSL Z540-3 (calibration systems requirements
*4 year degree or equivalent
Prefer:
*ASQ Quality Engineer certification
