CNC Programmer

Description:
Nesco Resource has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Programmer to join a fast paced and growing manufacturer in the Seymour, CT area. The opportunity is for  1st Shift, Monday-Friday.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Sheet Metal with the ability to work in a changing and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

... what you will be doing

  • Program all new jobs and existing jobs that require modifications

  • Develop programs for laser, turret and punch/laser combination machines using CAM software

  • Draw, modify or change model files using CAD software

  • Design and develop fixtures for new weldments and assemblies

  • Assist with design of special tools needed for fabrication

  • Assist management with 3D models and programs for equipment

  • Assist customers with design; develop and release blueprints to the operation for manufacturing and fabrication


What you will need to be successful:


  • High School Diploma or GED with 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in 2D CAD, CAM and Solidworks; ability to create drawings

  • Strong ability to communicate with customers both in oral and written forms

  • Ability to work efficiently with other key employees to accomplish good service for the operation and our customers


Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am  3:30 pm

Position Type: Temp to Hire / Right to Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25..00 Hr Depending on Experience
