Heavy Equipment Design Team Lead

Description:
*This is a full time, 2 year contract, located in York, PA*



We are hiring for a Design Team Lead, who will be working on Military Recovery Vehicles designing parts of the vehicle like stowage, AFES, recovery equipment (Winches, Boom, Spade), hydraulic subsystems, braking,steering and other operator controls such as heater, auxiliary power unit, engine and fuel systems. This project is for helping with the M88 modernization program.



Contrator's role will be that of the go to, IPT, small team project lead who will analyze, design, select materials, work with BOMs, work with CAD applications, create and adhere to schedules/milestones, budget, work with part specifications/procurement, supplier management.



Required:

*4 years experience designing mechanical hardware including brackets, covers and seals working on heavy construction equipment or other off-road equipment.

*Experience leading small design teams

*Understanding of ASME 14.100/Y14.5; Understanding of BOMs

*Familiar with part selection processes, working with procurement and sourcing of materials from appropriate venders

*BSME or similar Engineering Degree



Pluses:

*DoD experience/or working on military vehicles.

*Experience in the development and design of on-vehicle stowage provisions for equipment such as maintenance tools, deep water fording kits or other vehicle operator controls like braking, steering, shifting, throttle, and suspension control

*Familiar with developing and designing Stowage of special equipment
