Fluid Systems Engineer

Description:
Main Responsibilities

In conjunction with system owners, perform the design, analysis, component selection, drawing creation, and integration of fluid system lines, components, and secondary structure

Perform drawing check, participate in peer reviews, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews, mentor junior engineers in skills required for fluid system design and integration
Provide additional bandwidth creating technical drawing packages across the aircraft systems team
Support technical design reviews for all aircraft fluid systems
Qualifications

5-7+ years experience with fluid system design, analysis, fabrication, test, and integration
Working knowledge of high pressure systems, flow induced vibration, compressible and incompressible flow
Expert in a major CAD package (NX, CATIA, Solidworks), proficient in drawing creation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Capable designer of secondary structure, able to perform structural hand calculations, simple finite element analysis
Proficient with processing of aerospace material and tubing - NC machining; NC tube bending; orbital tube, MIG and TIG welding; additive manufacturing
Experienced in the design and analysis of welded tube assemblies
Practiced with the selection and sourcing of aerospace components such as valves, filters, pumps, accumulators, instrumentation, clamps, etc
Works well in a team and has leadership experience
It would be awesome if you had:

Experience designing complex kinematic systems utilizing bellcranks and cam mechanisms to perform complex motions
Direct experience with aircraft fluid and/or hydraulic systems
Relevant aircraft system design experience, proficient in aircraft design standards outlined in AC 43.13
