Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations Supports creating documentation for mechanical / fluid system design Supports the development of system design proposals Experience with material selection and construction in both metallic and composite components Ability to perform geometric tolerancing analysis Knowledge of basic stress and structural loading calculations Knowledge of FAA Part 25 regulatory requirements pertaining to mechanical and fluid systems Knowledge and application of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M Experience with Catia V5 or similar Experience with model management systems (Smarteam, Teamcenter preferred) Report on status of projects in open forums Develop schedules and estimates based on requirements Makes technical decisions and provides recommendations Works with general supervision
