Certification Engineer III - Structures/Stress

Description:
CERTIFICATION ENGINEER III - STRUCTURES

US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Job Description:
• Generate stress and fatigue analysis on composite and metal aircraft structures using classical hand analysis and Finite Element Modeling
• Conduct static and dynamic certification tests
• Manage ground, bench, and flight test data acquisition, data reduction and analysis
• Complete FAA and foreign certification activities
• Author test proposals, test results, analysis reports, and certification reports
• Review and approve technical drawings to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulations
• Experience with aircraft certification projects is required. Winglet/wing experience and Part 23/25 are preferred, but not required.
• Travel will be required


Qualifications:
• 10+ years’ applied aerospace industry experience required.
• Must have experience with FAA or EASA Part 23 and Part 25 certification.
• Applicant must be highly motivated, willing to work in fast paced environment, and have interest in aviation industry.
• Technical report writing skills to prepare test plans, test results, structural analysis substantiations, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Applicant must show general knowledge of aerospace design.
• Experience using SOLIDWORKS, FEMAP, NASTRAN, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team structure utilizing good written and spoken English communication skills is required.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
