Aircraft Technician II

Description:
1st shift 700AM – 330PM + OT

Company Summary

An Aircraft Maintenance Company established in 1945 with a concentration in repair, overhaul and support. For over 75yrs the Company's services include: component repair and overhaul, ground support test equipment, and airline service programs. The Company's business concentration includes support programs for regional and longer haul airlines, comprising narrow and wide body fleets, and also manufactures and distributes a full line of ground support test equipment.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports to the Shop Lead Technician, or Shop Manager.
Considered experienced in his or her field  
Requires little supervision
Demonstrates interest and has successfully cross trained in multiple types of unit repairs.
As applicable to the designated shop: have the ability to Test, Repair & Overhaul “Electronic”, and / or “Electro-mechanical”, and / or “Mechanical”, and / or “Hydraulic”, and / or “Pneumatic” aircraft components.
Needs to be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs some complicated tasks.  
Understand the use of test equipment required.
Understand, write, and read English and a knowledge of basic math.
Dexterity with hand tools. 
Test, Troubleshoot, Repair and calibrate units, using schematics diagrams, Component
Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and other documents such as modifications and customer EO’S

Requirements and Skills


**Meet and exceed the requirements for Technician level I

Required High School diploma or its equivalent
Technical college, or Military training in their expertise.
3 + years of experience in the field or related area preferred.
Must possess the ability to follow written instructions from technical manuals, drawings and other documents.
Electronics Technicians must possess the ability to solder and de-solder electronic components (through hole-mounted and surface mounted components).
Must have knowledge and experience with Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer Function Generators etc.).
Must possess the ability to work with little supervision
