Equipment & Tool Engineer 3

Location: Everett, WA
Duration: 9 months

Description:
The primary responsibilities of the job roles include the following:
Ensure factory equipment functions to meet production system requirements and verify rate equipment technical requirements are satisfied through procurement and commissioning.
The successful candidate will have automation experience and a strong problem solving background troubleshooting complex production equipment as well as an ability to support procurement of rate equipment projects.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts project and in-depth technical reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conducts equipment training for Production and Maintenance personnel. Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
- Supports in-production equipment and troubleshoots issues working with equipment services to perform root cause corrective action resulting in preventative measures to minimize downtime.

Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Must have at least 5 years of experience working with manufacturing or equipment systems.
Excellent aptitude to understand the technical details and their effect on the overall system is required.
Familiarity with PLC programming, Siemens and/or FANUC, CNC logic and/or experience programming equipment machine controls is required.
