Applies advanced knowledge of principles, theories and concepts and industry practices and standards related to the design, development, testing, manufacturing, repair and certification of aircraft structures, component parts and related component systems and subsystems for operational aircraft that are consistent with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Develops solutions to a variety of moderate complexity or unusual engineering or technical problems or assignments requiring judgment and ingenuity to work within engineering protocols in the analysis, design and/or repair development of aircraft structures, power plant component parts, mechanical and electrical systems/structures and subsystems for commercial, military, executive, general aviation, or special purpose applications on operational aircraft.

Analyzes and interprets engineering proposals and documentation such as drawings, material and product specifications, structural repair manuals (SRMs), component maintenance manuals (CMMs) and illustrated parts lists (IPLs/IPCs) to develop design and/or repair schemes approaches. Confers with management to clarify or resolve problems.

Designs and develops and/or repairs of structural, power plant and other operational and structural components that are used in operating aircraft. This includes producing or assisting in the production of computer aided drawings and engineering reports.

-Technically qualified; 8+ years’ experience as Sr.Test Engineer, experienced in a functional test development role preferred.
-Experience with “Open Source” development; LinuxOS, python scripting, VB and other scripting languages
-Experienced with Labview/Teststand preferred
-Experience with strategizing product test interfaces (hardware design.
-Experience in driving / supporting the development product test diagnostics in conjunction with test application development
-5+ years direct Management experience leading a team of development and sustaining production Test Engineers as well as managing a staff of supporting technicians.
-Highly experienced in creating product test strategy and project planning
-Experience performing in the EMS (contract manufacturing) industry or directly interacting with EMS providers highly preferred
-Experience as a project manager directing and overseeing and driving on time delivery of supporting material with external suppliers.
-Prior experience performing as both supplier and customer is extremely helpful.
-Experience interacting with internal and/or external product designers, system architects, etc. to extract details. necessary to develop and propose the test strategy and methods; both hardware and software.
-Experience performing in a dynamic production test environment.
-Wide ranging exposure to products of different technologies; WiFi, data center, data storage, industrial electronics (semiconductor test and performance characterization electronics, medical and automotive, etc).
-Highly skilled in the use of MS Office applications.
-Ability to present proposals, performance metrics, project status, etc. both to internal management as well as customer team
-May analyze existing or customer proposed test strategies for efficiency and cost-down opportunities.
-Negotiating skills are very helpful to achieve desired results

-Ability to apply advanced concepts of algebra, statistics and geometry

Job Description:
Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas). Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic statements of work. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Works under general direction.
