Quality Assurance Engineer - Level 2

Description:
Location: Oldsmar, FL
Rate: $30.00 - $33.00/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Overtime: Possible
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

Job Description:
- This position entails the application and maintenance of quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for the manufacturing of electronic equipment.
- This position will require data analysis skills to determine defect trends as well as the coordination of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- The position supports overall quality assurance functions for electronics production which may include QMS audits, working cross functionally in a team environment for continuous improvement for defect reduction, and ensuring product meets customer requirements.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
- 2 years minimum experience working in an engineering field and a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience working with surface mount assembly processes, mechanical assembly processes or cable assembly processes are a plus.
- Knowledge of specifications IPC 610, IPC 620, J-Std-001 and familiarity with interpretation of engineering drawings per ASME-Y14.100
- Above average computer skills to include use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Detail oriented, good oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with customer representatives in a positive, professional manner.

Desired
- Experience working with AS9100, statistical process control, printed circuit card, cable, or mechanical assembly processes.
- Six sigma green belt.
