Design Engineer

Description:
Location: Independence, OH
Rate: $33.38/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 1st Shift

**Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident**

Job Description:
- Design Engineer will be responsible for coordinating with the customer and developing complete Landing Gear layouts in response to customer requirements and design methodologies.
- This will involve conducting and documenting trade studies, developing complete Landing Gear design layouts, and provide input/guidance to the customer for landing system procurement specification development and maturation during the joint development phase of the program. - Manages delivery of mid to high level complexity research, design, and development of mechanical applications to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and ground test / mechanical tests.
- Additionally responsible for the CAD support of design projects and execution of Engineering design changes.
- Also, will be responsible for preparing and delivering presentations to the customer as required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience and US person status is required.
- Knowledge of PDM (Smarteam, MatrixOne, Team Center) systems, Catia V5, & MS programs (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point).
