Sr. Program Management Specialist

Description:
Location: Brookpark, OH
Rate: $60.00 - $70.00/HR
Duration: 1 year W2 contract
Shift: Regular 40 hour work week.
Overtime: Possible
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

** Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required)**

Duties:
95% - Support customer relationships by acting as the on-site liaison between Aerojet Rocketdyne and NASA Glenn in support of Company's (ARs) electric propulsion (EP) and power systems programs. Provide on-site support to local suppliers that support AR’s EP and power systems programs.
5% - Provides inputs as needed to the Director of Programs for development of the business growth strategies for the electric propulsion and power systems product area. Provide inputs to proposals, contract negotiations and statement of work (SOW) reviews.


Skills:
- Working knowledge of Electric Propulsion System thruster strings (Hall Current and Ion thruster systems).
- Working knowledge of the interfaces and interaction of EP systems with spacecraft.
- Experience with program planning, IMS development, risk and opportunity analysis, contract change management, control account management, work package development, earned value management (EVM) and program execution for cost reimbursable and fixed price programs for U.S. Government or commercial space missions.
- Demonstrated success in leadership and management of both development and production programs in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
- Proven ability to utilize excellent oral and written communication skills to build successful teams; presentation skills appropriate for executive-level briefings.


Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or physics with 10 -15 years of experience working with NASA Glenn preferred.
- Should have a good understanding of Electric Propulsion.
- PMI PMP certification a preferred.
