Description:
*This is a full time, 1 year contract position located in Lexington, KY*



We are seeking a contract technical writer with specific experience in writing Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs). Candidate will write, edit and change technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, etc. Candidate will be writing the documents that will be used by many different parties with different technical backgrounds, all with the need to understand the material.



Daily duties may include communicating and advising by product developers, observe performance of production methodology, reading technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. The position will involve preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.



Required:
*Current active or Interim Secret Clearance (or active within the last 2 years); US Citizens only need apply.
*2+ years’ in writing technical documents.
*Familiar with Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO); some knowledge of fixed wing aircraft.
*Able to read engineering drawings.



Pluses
*Familiar with C130s
*Corel or CAD software experience (CATIA, Solidworks, or AutoCAD preferred)
