NX Electrical Designer / Engineer

One of the world’s leading trucking manufacturers is looking for an NX Designer/Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:
Our Client is looking for a skilled wiring diagram & harness build/design engineer to accomplish integration of 12V, 24V, and 48V low voltage systems of a semi-truck as well as assist with High Voltage <1000 VDC diagram. Work includes but not limited to designing wiring diagrams for a multimodal electronic system, be able to understand technical information, create new diagrams upon need, be able to work at the vehicle and assist assembling a functional low voltage wire harness and be able to troubleshoot it. Main Duties and Responsibilities: This prototype vehicle will not be expected to go 1 million miles. However all harnesses should comply with current internal IP standards. Modify existing wiring diagrams to reflect all changes. Document all modifications according to client standards. Collaborate with are lead to prepare work package for high voltage harness supplier. Assist assembling a functional low voltage harness. Help with checking wire harness for faults and short circuits. Prepare final presentation to include overall work review. Engineer is expected to be self-driven and have proficiency with client tools, Engineering Client, Smaragd, NX and be familiar with client processes. Collaboration with cross functional teams in Chassis, Mechatronics and Assembly. Requirements: Siemens NX CAD experience required Create 3D wire harnesses, clipping and brackets to mount electrical components. Previous electrical and electronics packaging experience preferred. A general knowledge of automotive systems preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as personal computer office automation skills are required. Required Education/Experience: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or related engineering degree preferred but not required.
