Embedded Software Engineer, Secret Clearance (575)

Description:
*This is a full time, 1.5 year contract located in Grande Prairie, TX*



We are hiring a contract RTOS Real Time Embedded Ada, C/C++ software engineer who will be working on Secret level radar projects and proposal generation for a military/DoD subcontractor.



The position requires a candidate with strong background in the full development lifecycle including architecture design. Applicant will be working on supporting integration of software functionality into tactical military hardware.



Required:
*5 years’ experience in Embedded, RTOS, OOD software testing and design utilizing Ada, or C/C++

*Proposal development experience using Basis of Estimates (BOE) using SLOC, authoring software technical volumes
*Experience with open architecture design, modular multi-use design as well as multi-core, multi-threaded development.
*Background in using middleware tools like Corba or DDS.
*Familiar in developing using POSIX/Linux (Red Hat).
*Knowledge of Radar applications
*Experience with digital signal processing algorithm to code translation.
*Current Active Secret Clearance and must be listed on resume to be considered
*4 year degree in a Computing or Engineering discipline



Pluses:

*GNAT compilation system and Wind River Workbench development knowledge

*Power PC experience and/or SCM/version control.

*Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging protocol ( RTI/DDS)

*Linux knowledge

*Multi-core, multi-threaded development.

*Algorithm/I/O implementation experience
