Contract Software Engineer - Automotive - Vision Systems - Michigan area

Description:
Keltia Design, Inc. is a technical support services company supplying recruiting, training, and engineering design services to customers in the Automotive, Aerospace and other Hi-Tech industries on a permanent or contractual basis. We have been in business for over 17 years.

Our client has a range of openings in the area of Automotive Vision System Software Development. Experience with cameras, radars, ultrasonics, Deep Learning etc. is desired. The Software Engineer must be a versatile, detail oriented person to assist in software design and development. The Software Engineer will be heavily engaged with engineering, program management, and customers. You must know the important elements of system, hardware and software engineering, have a great sense of detail, know how to take on various duties in a short time, and be able to take initiative when needed.

Responsibilities
a. Support software development planning.
b. Develop requirements, designs and implement the overall software structure of a project.
c. Verify that software design and coding meet the software and coding requirements.
d. Verify the accuracy and robustness of requirements and capability for validation.
e. Prepare software technical documentation as well as software design review materials.
f. Present materials at design reviews and be an active participant/team player at reviews.
g. Collaborate with system, hardware and software engineering peers to develop designs on aggressive time schedules when required.
h. Specify, design and code test tools using a combination of high level languages and hardware.

Requirements
a. Bachelor’s degree required. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related.
b. Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project), Experience with cameras, radars, ultrasonics, Deep Learning etc. is desired
c. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (excellent verbal and written skills).
d. Strong programming skill in high-level language
