Test Engineer

Description:
Location: Windsor Locks, CT
Rate: $37.50/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 1st Shift

**MUST be a U.S. Citizen**

Job Description:
Duties will include the following:
• Must have practical knowledge of electromagnetic and RF field theory
• Thorough understanding of factors influencing EMC emissions/immunity and mitigating techniques.
• Must be comfortable working hands-on in a laboratory environment. Operation knowledge of frequency domain test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF signal generators and amplifiers) is important.
• Actively debug known EMC/EMI problems deep dive into root causes.
• Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance.
• Develop EMC control plan, test procedures and generate test reports
• Candidate will evaluate test and analysis data and generate waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring.
• Must be familiar with MIL-STD-461 and DO-160

Education / Certifications:
- BS degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant hands on experience.

Experience/Qualifications:
- Strong communicator and ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Experience with Totally Integrated Laboratory Environment System (TILE) software is a plus.
- “This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with NASA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per NASA’s regulation SUBPART 1835.5 Drug- Free Workforce.”
