CAM Automation Developer

Description:
Essential Job Functions:

· As a CAM Automation Developer, join the global technology team for HDBS based in Houston and create CAM automation using C# and API calls from Siemens NX software.

· Participate in the development of a complete CAM automation package to support the manufacturing of drill bits.

· Support manufacturing by participating in the setup of NC machines, including developing postprocessors for those machines.



Qualifications

· Proficiency required in GRIP, TCL, C and C#. NET Programming languages.

· Thorough knowledge of Siemens NX software - Advanced level (in both CAD and CAM).

· Experience in writing software programs in C, C++, or C#. Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Team Foundation Server desired.

· Knowledge and understanding of the Turning and 5 Axis CNC Programmer with UG – minimum 5 years. Must also possess strong designing (CAD) skills.

· Ability to understand and modify post processors (up to 5-axis) and have awareness of “G-codes” and “M-codes”.

· Prefer thorough knowledge of machine shop equipment, such as Lathes, milling machines, cutting tools and cutting tool geometry such as cutting angle, rake angle and clearance angles.

· Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally sharing ideas, and views; strong written and oral communication skills necessary to lead meetings and events; ability to work independently from other developers, but with moderate direction from management.

· Strong mathematical skills (Arithmetic, geometry and trigonometry).

· Ability to identify potential manufacturing issues and propose corrective action.
