Systems Engineer III - (CA) - TOP SECRET

Description:
ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START.

Satellite Systems Engineer (Level 3) Contractor for the Satellite Ground Operations and Product Team located in El Segundo, California. Tasking includes full life-cycle development, integration and test in the satellite ground command and control. Assists with the development and test of electronic and electrical system requirements. Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements. Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assists, without supervision, with the validation of system-of-systems concepts or system concepts or subsystem concepts by inspection, analysis, test, and demonstration to assure that the system architecture and design concepts satisfy the intent of the customer requirements.
• Collects data and reports the progress and status of integration and checkout activities, and receives and evaluates results of activities, so that integration activities can proceed. Assists in coordinating resolution of disapproved integration and checkout results by documenting and reporting reasons for disapproval to resolve anomalies.
• Validates system-of-systems interfaces or system interfaces or subsystem interfaces by inspection, analysis, test, and demonstration to assure that the system architecture, design and implementation satisfies the intent of the customer requirements. May also assist, with direct supervision, in overall validation of the above.

Typical Education & Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and10 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Skills:
• Experience working with a team of systems engineers or systems integrators
• Experience in software or systems testing

Preferred Skills:
• Systems Engineering experience
o Model Based Systems Engineering
• Agile Development experience
• Leadership experience

Required:
• Active US Security Clearance TS/SCI
