Senior Software Engineer (Active Secret Clearance Required)

Description:
Job Type: W2 Contract
Duration: 2 years with option for extension

Description:
• The senior software engineer position in the Position, Navigation, and Time (PNT) organization will include software development for real-time embedded GPS receivers designed for military applications.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to execute all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, and verification.
• Assignments may also include developing software tools and supporting field demonstration efforts.
• The successful applicant should be knowledgeable and skilled with a variety of development and test tools as well as proficient in development for embedded hardware/software applications.
• Candidates will be expected to independently perform multiple tasks with occasional support from a mentor.

REQUIRED:
• Experience with real-time embedded applications using C/C++ or Ada
• Solid understanding of software development processes applicable to embedded applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Able to function in a dynamic team environment

PREFERRED:
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Eclipse, DOORS, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as JIRA, JAMA, Confluence, and Bamboo
• A working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing techniques
• A working knowledge of Kalman Filters
